The obstacle course 2014

We’ve had a number of requests for information about the obstacles in the forest. Some worried that they’re too hard and others worried that they’re too easy. Instead of trying to explain the obstacles, we thought we’d show you. Thanks to Toby & Freya for running. Thanks to Harry, Kelly and Jane for filming.  If you like the music then buy Jolie Coquine by Caravan Palace.

Test event #1 a great success

Thanks to the runners and marshals who helped us test the course today. Looks like this is going to be a really good race. The next test event will be the 23rd March 2014, so if you’re interested, please sign up to the newsletter to be sure that we keep you in touch. Meanwhile – take a look at the photos from today, or maybe the results.

ready for 23 Nov ’14?

Planned for 23rd November 2014, run-forest-run is a short adventure race starting and finishing on the green at Chiddingfold. The map below shows you the 10km run and the location of the forest where the 900m obstacle course will take place.

We are looking for volunteers to try out the course on the 24th November 2013 and on 9th March 2014. If you would like to try out the course as a volunteer, then please sign up using our contact form. It is likely that there will be rain, wind and mud (if we’re lucky).

The adventure course elements will feature at least:

  • Over-Under leap
  • Prancing Pony
  • Slippery Slope
  • Log Carry
  • River jump

If you can’t do an obstacle, you can go around the outside – but you need to do the forfeit! 50% of all profits go to maintaining the forest (so that next year’s race will be even better) and the remaining 50% go to a local charity. This year the charity is ChiddGreen.

Want to enter? Contact us  and we’ll send you a link to the entry form.
