The shop is open and people are starting to enter. We are really excited to announce the 2018 edition of the race. We will have chip timing again with a rolling start so that you can run with your family and friends. We will stock up on the lemon drizzle cake and ensure that there are enough bacon butties and vegetarian sausages to feed a small army. Discount for teams of 8 or more. Volunteer marshals get a free entry for the following year. See you in November!
It’s truly exciting to be featured on a mainstream Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) List. This year’s race looks to be even better than last years with a new rolling start format to make it easier to run with your friends.
Bacon butties and Jane’s famous Lemon Drizzle cake ensure a great feed to help you through the mud and the rain! We look forward to seeing you. Enter soon though, the race is nearly full.
Don’t forget to check out our awesome course video in 3 different mixes by young local talents:
Get your training in with local training guru Jilly Wright and we hope that you can join us!
The only online entry this year is via our shop. Runner’s World now take 10% of all the ticket price and don’t release funds to the race organisers until 2 weeks after the event. Apologies to those of you who prefer the Runner’s World Shop but the reality is that we could not afford to put the race on withe those constraints.
The good news is that we are changing the start system this year to make it easier to run with your mates. More news soon!! Don’t forget to enter online soon.
Entries are now open. Click the link at the top of the page and check out the course video.
Check out the new course video! Many thanks to Jilly Wright and her team for doing the run. The music is from the wonderful Caravan Palace. You can buy the full album Robot Face <| ͦ _ ͦ |> on Amazon – it will make you smile. Don’t forget to enter online!
We are updating the course video. If you are interested in co-starring then please get in touch via the website. The wonderful personal trainer Jilly Wright is in charge of motivating the runners and the course video will appear on the site towards the end of August.
Welcome to 2017, the shop is now open!. This year’s race will be on Sunday 19th November 2017. Most details will be the same as previous years. We will be keeping chip timing, we will be hoping for rain the week before and sunshine on the day. There will be bacon butties (or veggie rolls) and of course, Jane’s legendary lemon drizzle cake.
Everyone gets a T shirt and a medal with this year’s prizes for 1st Male, 1st Female and Star of the Day being made with wood from the forest. Mud, sweat and cheers are a certainty. Come and have some fun. You won’t be disappointed!
The 2016 course is now small-person friendly. In fact we might have made it harder for tall people than short people – oops! The zig-zags are done, the prancing pony is longer, the jungle has been cut-back, the new tyre wall is close to the ground for people with shorter legs and we have had a bit of a tidy up and pulled several hundred tonnes of logs off the course. Thank to all the runners from previous years who have helped us tidy up the wood and open up more areas for run-forest-run.co.uk. We’re looking forward to 20th November – how about you?
